Northumberland is set to become a hub for aspiring business owners as it hosts the Northumberland Enterprise Festival, a first-of-its-kind opportunity for individuals looking to start businesses in Northumberland.
This exciting event will take place across 3 days in venues across Northumberland to ensure no one misses out!
The events are taking place on Tuesday 12th November at Eshott Hall, Wednesday 13th November at Hexham Racecourse and Thursday 14th November at Doxford Barns. Delivered by Northumberland Small Business Service, the Festival aims to motivate, educate, and provide budding entrepreneurs with a unique platform to pitch their business ideas to real investors.
The Northumberland Small Business Service (NSBS) is delivered Northumberland County Council. The project is part funded by the North East Combined Authority and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund, with the North East Combined Authority as the lead authority.
The event is designed specifically for early-stage entrepreneurs looking to refine their business plans and perfect their pitch skills. With workshops, inspirational talks, and live investor pitch sessions, participants will gain invaluable insight into what it takes to succeed in the business world.
The Enterprise Festival promises to offer more than just practical advice. It’s an opportunity for entrepreneurs to; build a solid business plan, learn from the experts, pitch to real investors, network and collaborate.
The event also provides ample opportunities for participants to connect with like-minded individuals, industry experts, and potential investors.
An unmissable opportunity for pre-start businesses to also learn more about other funding and grants available, including the much-anticipated Northumberland Small Business Start-up Grant.
The NSBS team emphasise the unique value of the Festival, where promising startups will have a real chance to showcase their business ideas. With a supportive environment and direct access to funding opportunities and advice, the event offers a rare opportunity for pre-startup businesses to turn their concepts into viable ventures.
Programme Manager Lucy Evermore said “We are incredibly excited to bring this event to Northumberland.
“We believe this is the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs across the county to gain critical insights and practical skills, and potentially secure the funding they need to make their business ideas a reality.”
