Businesses are capped at a total of £315,000 MFA (minimal financial assistance). When registering to the Northumberland Small Business Service you will be asked to declare any previous aid you have received from the state in the last 3 financial years.

Minimal Financial Assistance is a subsidy control exemption that allows small amounts of funding to be awarded to an enterprise within a 3 year period.
Subsidy Control is financial assistance given directly or indirectly from public recourses by a public authority. The amount is capped to ensure all enterprises are receiving the same amount in a fair way.
